Where to stay

We have hired the Juquehy Praia Hotel for the whole weekend and would love if all guests could stay with us.

It will be closed to guests only and we have given a discount to all the guests staying there.

It’s absolutely gorgeous and in our opinion, the best hotel in town.

Please see the below link to the hotel reservation.

Please mention Martin and Maria wedding 22nd-24th August 2025 when booking and your name.

The beaches in Sao Paulo are lovely, really great place to relax and soak in the sun, drink some caipirinhas!

A few of our favorites are: Maresias for surfing, Ilha Bela for diving, and Ubatuba for quiet hidden beaches.

Travel guide for

Brazil and

South America

Planning on travelling around Brazil and South America as well as attending the wedding?

São Paulo

São Paulo is a bustling business capital of Brazil, so it’s not a touristy town, think New York, Mexico City, Hong Kong.

1 week trips:

Rio de Janeiro

A must visit, one of the most beautiful and famous cities in the world, only a 1 hour flight or 6 hour drive from Sao Paulo, it is very common to hire a car and drive up the coast from where the wedding will take place, passing through famous beaches such as Paraty and beautiful islands like Ilha Bela and Ilha Grande.

Buenos Aires

Capital of Argentina, a 2 hour flight from Sao Paulo, called the “Paris” of South America. Buenos Aires is the epicentre of great food, excellent wine, fine culture, and a rich and dramatic history.

Florianópolis

A beautiful island in the south of the country full of beautiful beaches, surfing, hikes and good vibes

Iguaçu Falls

The largest waterfalls in the world, bordering Argentina and Paraguay, a 1 hour flight from Sao Paulo.

If you have more time and want to explore:

The Amazon

the worlds biggest rainforest, about 4 hours flying from Sao Paulo to Manaus where it is possible to do river boat tours/cruises and stay in jungle lodges.

Lençóis Maranhenses

This place looks like you landed in another planet, it’s a national park with infinite sand dunes with cristal clear fresh water lakes. if you really like adventure you can cross the park by foot over 4 days sleeping in the local communities and making new friends. Here is the link for the guide we used when we did it:

Pantanal

The worlds biggest wetlands savannah and one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet, home to amazing lodges and safaris and a great place to see the Jaguar, Capivara and thousands of other animals.

Machu Picchu

Its a long way away from São Paulo, 2 flights, around 7 hours total flying… But, it is closer then coming from a different part of the world!

It’s no joke it is one of the 7 wonders of the world, it truly is a magical place.
